MELISSA MIRON STEWART
Melissa Miron Stewart is a New York City-based Casting Director who specializes in finding unique characters nationwide. Her wide-ranging experience includes live stage competition shows, docu-series, relationship-focused programming, business improvement, comedy, sports, food, and straight-up game shows. She is known for finding compelling characters and hidden gems—from foragers raking for prized truffles in the dangerous Oregon backwoods to the wealthiest, most glamorous individuals flying in private planes around the world.
Melissa excels in development consulting, has experience casting national commercials and ad campaigns, and has a casting database of over 30,000 real people and non-union actors.
As a graduate of Emerson College, she began her casting career in Los Angeles at Mark Burnett Productions working on several seasons of Survivor and The Amazing Race. She then relocated to NYC, where she has worked in TV in several capacities - Casting, Development and Producing. Melissa was the Director of Casting & Talent for Embassy Row, where she headed up both series and development casting and produced all of her own talent. She then was Director of Casting & Talent for Zodiak New York's development department where her role was credited for series green lights on HGTV, Discovery and E! Network, as well as many sizzles and pilots for numerous networks and the digital space.
Most recently, Melissa is responsible for casting ABC's summertime hit game shows The $100,000 Pyramid and Match Game and was the consulting Casting Director for IMG Productions.
Melissa lives on Manhattan’s Lower East Side with her handsome husband, Justin, and their perfect puppy son Chicken.
